I forgot to post this earlier when I made my previous entry. Here's a little video clip from the photo shoot on Sunday. I'm sitting on a rock in the middle of the water as Jessi hops around snapping pictures. Christine took the video using my little point and click camera :)

Tristen Citrine offered the opportunity to purchase one of her fabulous costumes, and I've always loved her Neptune fuku so I figured WHY NOT and bought it. It arrived today and I was so excited that I had to throw it on and take some test shots. I will be having a photo shoot in the mountains this weekend =D

Like how I cut off the top of my head? @_@ I don't own a tripod so in order to photograph myself I had to stack some boxes on top of a chair in my studio XD It's fantastically ghetto.

Digital Dreams Photography is back online.

I'm still tinkering around a bit with the design, but I didn't want to keep the site down much longer. I am working on getting the content back online and I have one fashion gallery up. I have a lot of new photos that haven't been posted online yet and I'm very eager to get everything up and running!

You will (eventually) notice that the cosplay photography section will be considerably smaller than it was in the past. I still love taking photos of cosplayers, but my focus (and my income) has shifted to more special events (engagements, weddings, senior portraits) and various fashion/body art/creative areas.

It has been brought to my attention that people can't find my cosplay site when linked straight to the domain. I will have the link in my profile when it's revised, but my cosplay site is still http://www.just-a-dream.net/cosplay/ and it will remain there :)

Good morning! Thank you for the birthday wishes, I'm having a great day so far and tonight my wonderful fiancée is taking me out for a romantic dinner at our favorite restaurant =D

I do have some schedule and costume updates that I thought I'd post here, since my Colorado friends are posting their lists!

2008 marks my tenth year as a cosplayer, so I'm celebrating with lots of new costumes and a tribute to my very first costume <3

I forgot to mention that I'm going to Anime Wasabi next month. I'm excited to check out the new Colorado convention! I'll be bringing Anthy and....... I don't know what else! I'm not doing photo shoots, I just want to check out the convention and hang out with everyone.

My current cosplay projects include Edea from FF8 and two more Inara costumes. I've got a bunch of stuff to prepare for Dragon*Con, including costumes from Elf Quest, The Tudors, and possibly Marie Antoinette. I know it's far off in the future, but I need as much time as possible to finish everything.

This time it's for my own wedding :) I'm going to be opening up a print shop where you can purchase prints of my photographs for very reasonable prices. All proceeds go straight to the wedding fund. Support same sex marriage and buy a print! ;D

All prints come straight from Kodak's printing lab to your doorstep. I went with Kodak because I have worked with them before and the quality is excellent. Right now I'm offering four scenic prints of photos taken while I was in Florida. Eventually I will expand and offer prints of various models I work with, but I want to test the waters with some scenic prints first.

Please look below the cut to see what prints I am currently offering. If sales go well I will open up a larger shop on my website. All purchase requests are to be made via email: lvasilion@gmail.com

To make a purchase, please email me with the title of the print(s) you'd like to buy, along with the size(s). The prices are as follows:

4 x 6" $7.00
5 x 7" $10.00
8 x 10" $15.00
16 x 20" $35.00 (for selective images)
20 x 30" $50.00 (for selective images)

Shipping is a flat rate of $5. Remember that between the cost of the print and the cut that paypal takes, I do not get the amount listed here. A $50 print only gives me $18 profit.

I will email you back to confirm the total, and give you my paypal information. Once payment has been sent to paypal I will direct it to my bank account. When the funds are IN MY BANK ACCOUNT, I will place your order. The transfer of funds between paypal and my bank usually only takes a day or two, and Kodak's processing is equally as fast. Shipping takes 3-10 business days.

I got engaged last weekend! =D I'm very excited and eager to begin the wedding planning, so if anyone here would like to keep up with my wedding babble, please friend wedding09 :) All entries on that journal are embedded into our wedding website, which will eventually have pictures, info, and wedding resource links but for now it's just a blog :D

I have no idea what my convention schedule will be like because I have a LOT going on this year, and the wedding will be sometime in 2009 but money must be saved starting now. Because of this, I'll be putting all proceeds from photo shoots aside for the wedding :) I can not attend Katsu as I originally wanted to, as hours in the studio I am employed with have been terribly slow since the holidays and I just can't afford it.

I added some Alice in Wonderland "behind the scenes" photos as well as a bunch of pictures that I didn't use in the gallery to my personal photo album.

I decided to do something new with the Alice in Wonderland photos, so let me know if you like it :)

Each photo has a quote from Anne Taintor (because she's fabulous) and has been edited more than usual around the edges to give it a dreamy look.

The concept began last year, as my friends made EGL style costumes for the Midnight Tea at Anime Expo. More character were added after the convention and makeup artists Sam and Alison became involved. A location was found in Denver, a beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast that allowed us to rent a room for a couple hours and photograph in and around the building, and I gave my friend and fellow photographer Alain a call to see if he wanted to join in on the fun. It was a long, cold day, but the results were worth all the time and planning =D Many thanks to everyone involved, I am so happy to have been a part of this!

What you'll see on my website are storybook type photos I specifically shot for my site. There are many more pictures, but those will be distributed out to the parties involved and not posted on my site :)

I was not the wedding photographer, but I was allowed to snap a few pictures here and there ;) I asked the couple if I could post a few pictures on my website and they graciously agreed!

These photos are a collaboration between my girlfriend and myself, as she took the camera when I was unable to. Thank you baby! <3

I wore Marie Antoinette to Mile Hi Con this past weekend, accompanied by Fersen of course, and the amazing Alain (finaltestament) took a TON of photos! I don't have them all yet but they're STUNNING. A solo shot from the weekend shoot, I absolutely love how this photo turned out. After our studio set, we went outside to a playground near my condo. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and the sun was very bright so when I took this photo and saw the massive sun glare I wasn't sure I'd like the way it turned out. When I saw the photo loaded full sized onto my computer I realized that it was really fantastic =D I lowered the exposure a bit because the sun was really bright, but there was no additional post processing required :)

So in case my previous post hadn't given it away, there are two ~~former assassins~~ SEXY BITCHES here from Phoenix! Their wedding is next month (OMG!) so we flew them out for some pre wedding fun COLORADO STYLE ~ which includes photoshoots! Makeup was done by Sam, photography by me - many more photos on the way!

Oh, and the tattoo you see on her chest is real ;)
